Many of the courses we teach qualify for 2+2 early college credit through RCC! Why should you care?
- Early College credits are FREE! (no tuition, no books to purchase, no lab fees, no gas money to travel to class).
- It is like a college scholarship! You receive college credit for free just by taking the course at HVHS!
- Save time by not having to repeat the same class in college you took in high school.
- Save stress waiting in college registration lines because you have PRIORITY registration and can register for classes ahead of new students.
HERE’S how to get your 2+2 Early College Credit:
ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS …
1. GET AN “A” or “B” GRADE
- If you receive an “A” or “B” grade in your class and do any other work required by your teacher, fill out a 2+2 Early College Credit registration form [PDF] (get that from your teacher). The form MUST be filled out by you and signed by you (your SSN is important in tracking your credits).
- Turn the completed form into your teacher ASAP!
- Forms must be sent to RCC immediately following the posting of course grades, and credit will not be offered for those who do not meet this deadline.
2. HIGH SCHOOL 2+2 EARLY COLLEGE CREDIT TEACHERS…
Will complete a class roster of those students who are registered and earn an “a” or “B” and send it to the High School Outreach office on the RCC Riverside Campus.
3. RCC DOES THE REST
When they input your registration it goes onto a student schedule as if you were an attending student. At the end of that term your grade rolls over to a permanent transcript and you have college credits at Rogue Community College. They’ll send you an “unofficial” transcript so you can keep track of your progress as a college student.
If you plan to attend a college other than Rogue and are concerned about transferability of courses, please check with that college.
Contact us if you have questions.
Remember…RCC CANNOT ACCEPT FORMS MAILED BY STUDENTS … So please make sure registrations are sent directly from the high school by your teacher!
